She Loves Tech Bangladesh 2023: Pioneering Women Empowerment in Tech Innovation

September 13, 2023 – In a resounding showcase of innovation and empowerment, She
Loves Tech Bangladesh 2023 concluded its local round finale at Dhaka’s Doreen Hotel &
Resorts’ 26th floor this Wednesday. The event, organized in tandem with Turtle Venture for
the fifth consecutive year, drew a distinguished crowd of industry leaders and emerging
founders.

Since its inception in 2015, She Loves Tech has raised an impressive USD 350 million in
funding, amplifying its global reach across 70+ countries. The platform’s commendable
track record includes assisting over 13,000 startups and garnering over 1 billion media
impressions.

Turtle Venture, a pioneering force in startup ecosystem development, envisions steering
Bangladesh’s startup landscape. Their ambition is to cultivate the foremost
entrepreneurship ecosystem in the country through strategic programs and partnerships,
nurturing boundless ideas.

The event featured Sami Ahmed, Managing Director of Startup Bangladesh Limited, as the
chief guest, alongside a discerning panel of judges comprising Bijon Islam, Co-founder &
CEO of LightCastle Partners, Sharawwat Islam, Managing Director of Truvalu Bangladesh,
and Md Masudur Rahman, COO of Dekko ISHO Venture Capital.

From the mentoring sessions at the bootcamp, Tasfia Tanbin, Founder and CEO of
Markopolo, and Fahreen Hannan, Founder and CEO of Dhaka Cast, both distinguished
previous winners of She Loves Tech Bangladesh were present at the event.

Agrigate, Ainsheba, InsureCow, LegalX, Onnow.io, and Royal Bengal Shrooms, the top six
finalists, presented their groundbreaking solutions. After a rigorous pitching session, the
winners emerged: InsureCow clinched the title, followed by LegalX as the first runner-up,
and Onnow.io as the second runner-up.

InsureCow’s pioneering technology-driven cattle insurance and well being monitoring
platform bridges the gap between farmers, SMEs, NGOs, insurers, and financial
institutions.
The event’s success was made possible by a strategic alliance with key partners, including

Sami Ahmed presented the award to the winning team, InsureCow, who will represent
Bangladesh in the global competition this year. Attendees were graciously gifted plants,
and a sumptuous buffet lunch provided an apt finale to the event.
